Where are these parts of London where people do not speak to each other?! Colliers Wood is not one of those places and North Gardens is certainly not one of those streets. I will miss being part of such a caring community. I consider my neighbours life-long friends.
And the house itself? A truly lovely home. I love the way it has adapted to our needs. The children and their friends can be in, yet everyone has space and privacy. Together, yet separate. Having an ‘extra’ room has always been a bonus. Whether you use it as bedroom, office or study, it is wonderful to have the space.
My favourite room is, undoubtedly, the kitchen-diner. I adore cooking whilst friends sit on the sofa and chat to me. And, let’s be honest, when again will I have a stainless steel kitchen?! The practicality and elegance of it is something I definitely want to replicate in my new home.
Stylish and clean, the garden is wonderful for summer dining. For lounging or entertaining, the deck is a focal point. The patio, once the site of children’s games and biking exploits, is now a great place for barbecues. The fact that the property has side access is an added bonus.
1 minute from an outstanding Primary School; 2 minutes from a tube station; 4 houses away from a park. This is the best road in Colliers Wood. A peaceful cul-de-sac in the midst of a thriving area. In terms of an investment, you only need to look around to see that Colliers Wood is definitely on the up.
There are so many reasons I will miss 19 North Gardens. It is time to move on, but I am sure that others will benefit from the many, many wonderful things it has to offer.
